Special Programs

Learn about the ancient cultures of the Sonoran Desert, visit ruins once inhabited by the Hohokam, Sinagua, Salado or Anasazi, see petroglyphs carved into desert rocks by ancient people who predate the Spanish explorers' expeditions into the Americas.

For student groups or adventure travelers, we have an excellent five-day archaeological immersion program; it encompasses hands-on field archaeology and visits to cultural sites in central Arizona, supplemented by evening seminars on related archaeological and historical topics. This is a unique, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to participate in the exploration and discovery of ancient cultures while experiencing the fascinating field of archaeology. We can tailor this program to suit particular interests or time available: from 3 to 10 days. This program can be designed for students from 5th – 12th grades, undergraduates or adventurers seeking a unique, extended experience in archaeology.
